Situation Report – Afghanistan Flooding April 2014

Humanity Road’s Disaster Desk was activated on April 26, 2014 to monitor a flood disaster in northern Afghanistan. Heavy rains beginning on April 24 resulted in severe flash flooding that has left thousands homeless and has killed thousands of livestock. Over 100 people have been killed and more are missing. Provinces impacted include Jawzjan, Sare Pul, Faryab, Balkh, Samangan, and Takhar.
